Starting with MacOS X version 10.4, Apple has included a software feature called Dashboard. Dashboard is an environment that contains mini-applications called Widgets, that let a user perform common tasks and provide with fast access to information.
I have created Dashboard Widgets and made them available to the Macintosh community through the GNU General Public License. The widgets that I have developed are featured on Apple.com and several other sites and are downloaded 4,000+ times per month on average.
